Born in Quebec City, Canada, Amalie earned a Creative Arts degree at Dawson College in Montreal, followed by a Fine Arts degree at The University of Ottawa. She then continued to explore different avenues of creativity by earning a degree in makeup artistry and special effects in Toronto at SOMA.

Amalie's paintings reveal and enhance the natural beauty she sees in life. She creates her textured paintings using acrylic paint, gold, copper and silver leaf, as well as using non-traditional items such as peppercorns and varnish.

Since 2005, she has had frequent exhibitions in Toronto and fulfilled numerous private commissions. She now resides in London, England.
